  Experimental music

Delforus is a space for contemporary music, experimentation and research of innovative techniques for live performance with new musical interfaces. With the addition of dancers and elements taken from the visual art sphere, our show can be presented either as a performative installation or an electro-acoustic live concert.

Funded and conducted by Fernando Laub, composer and visual artist mainly oriented to avant-garde music. Throughout the years the project has counted with an open structure where performers join to enrich the practice.

  A sound art experience

We design our own sonic sculptures combining circuit bending, 3D printing, real time audio processing, recycled scrap elements and a meticulous treatment of applied new interfaces as well as motion controllers. With the aim to find out a kind of generative mechanism that could produce endless soundscapes our concerts are suitable for standard stages as well as non traditional venues like art galeries or museums.

  Applied innovation

Great effort and much time were invested with the new technologies set up. This configuration process implies a constant research and improvement according to the expected musical repertory, defining an important part of the composition stage.

We developed and use an adhoc notation system. The idea was to find an easy but powerful way to give the performers all the information needed to play a musical piece.

Improvising guidelines and innovative notation is put into practice throughout a trial and error basis. This phase of the creative process involve the arrangement of many staging details as well.
